I never believed until I saw it with my own eyes: the zoo in belize City is one of the most spectacular I have ever seen. The place is not very far from the city, as you drive along the Western Highway(not more than 1 hour). There are lots of local species of animals, as well as an extraordinarily lush vegetation. Entrance fee:7,50$
